Cardiff Time Travelling Walking Tour

Enjoy the history of Cardiff’s iconic Capital by foot.

From Cardiff Bay to the Civic Centre, we will take in the historic sites – many familiar as film locations from popular TV series, such as Doctor Who, Torchwood & Sherlock Holmes.

Discover how Cardiff Bay has been transformed by Europe’s biggest regeneration project. Just 100 years ago, this area was the biggest coal port in the World. It is now a major tourist attraction, reborn for leisure and pleasure.

At Cardiff Bay we will see The Senedd (Welsh Parliament), Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay Barrage, the Coal Exchange, Pierhead Building and Roald Dahl Plaza.

Weather permitting, we will then travel the mile to the City Centre, by scenic Water Taxi (additional £8.00 per person).

In the City Centre, we will visit the Norman Castle, Edwardian Civic Centre, Victorian Market and historic Shopping Arcades.

Time-Shift in the footsteps of the Doctor: See where the Daleks attacked the Doctor and where the Temporal Rift which is used to charge the Tardis is still causing trouble. Stand outside the secret entrance of Torchwood HQ and re-live your favourite moments from the showsBooking Information:

Cardiff City Centre

A 2 hour guided walk with a professional guide.

This is a guided walk to celebrate the greatest Edwardian city in the United Kingdom built on the back of the Industrial Revolution and the world wide export of coal

The walk will capture 2,000 years of history at Cardiff Castle, telling the tale of Roman and Norman occupations.  By marriage the Castle passed into the hands of the Butes, a Scottish aristocratic family in the 1700s and it was their creation of Cardiff docks that created a fortune and drove the Industrial Revolution.   We will explore the legacy of the Castle, Park and Civic Centre, and visit the incredible Victorian shopping arcades, the Principality Stadium
